National Center for Environmental Health: Radiation Studies

CDC plays a unique role in identifying potentially harmful environmental exposures and examining health risks associated with these exposures. One aspect of this work is its radiation studies program, which looks at the relationship between environmental radiation exposures and public health.

The Transportation Resource Exchange Center (T-REX) is a comprehensive Web site where you will find the answers to complex questions surrounding radioactive materials transportation. The T-REX Web site provides documents, databases, and links to the people, organizations, and programs that are involved in the transport of radioactive materials. In addition, the T-REX Center offers reference services and resource staff.
The Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI)

A triservice laboratory chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1961, conducts research in the field of radiobiology and related matters essential to the operational and medical support of the U.S. Department of Defense and the military services. The Institute provides services and performs cooperative research with other federal and civilian agencies and institutions.
